Compared to last Spring’s Redneck Rumble, this year was a much more muted affair. Why? Two words: Mother Nature. After a few weeks of absolutely wonderful weather, she proceeded to soak down the Wilson County Fairgrounds in Lebanon, Tennessee for day one of the Redneck Rumble show. As I was walking through the lanes, I stopped and talked with a guy who pinstripes during the show, who told me that at one point, he had four inches of standing water in the area he is set up at. No bueno. Luckily, the skies cleared up some, enough that I drove down to check out the show and see if there was anything even there. Attendance may be down for this year, but if you want to see die-hards, here you are. With occasional showers cropping up in the time I was able to be there for, there were plenty of neat rods hanging around, from the gorgeous to the grungy and evil.
