2016 NMCA All-American Nationals At Indy Gallery: More Action From The Heat At Lucas Oil Raceway!

2016 NMCA All-American Nationals At Indy Gallery: More Action From The Heat At Lucas Oil Raceway!

It was hot, it was humid, and it was freaking awesome. The 2016 NMCA All-American Nationals was an excellent showing. The racing was good…even with those disastrous oil-downs…and the car count was excellent, especially in the Nostalgic Super Stock class, which saw sixty-one entries alone! We saw Andy Warren’s eye-catching 1971 Chevrolet Caprice take home the win in Detroit True-Trac Nostalgic Muscle Car, we saw the guys from Chicken Hawk Motorsports sort out their 1968 Shelby Mustang Xtreme Pro Mod car after several rounds of trouble, coming back hard with runs in the 3-second, over 200 MPH range. And you guys got to see my shining, happy face on the Livestream. Sorry about ruining your lunch, but thanks for being patient with me as Chad taught me how to run the camera. Speaking of food, I have to give a special thanks to Dina Parise for bringing a large plate of spaghetti and meatballs up to the tower…that was absolutely epic food, and the only reason I don’t regret kindly asking for a second plate is because if I had, I would’ve been in a food coma within six seconds of the last forkful.

But if you think that I only stood in the tower and ate at Indy, you’d be sorely mistaken! There was no way I wasn’t going to get some good photos while I was there. From the wild Pro Mods to the new Pro Stock category…which, after hearing those pissed-off, high-winding mills, have quickly become a favorite class of mine..the shutter was clicking as the cars were screaming down the 1320. Click on a photo below to check out more of the action from Indiana!
