2017 Indianapolis World of Wheels – America’s Racing Capitol Knows How To Have Fun

(Photos by Jacob Marshall) – If there is one town in the country that we know can have a lot of automotive fun at the drop of the hat, it is Indianapolis. These guys host the PRI show, they host the NHRA US Nationals, they host the Indy 500, and for more than a century the area has been a hotbed of racing innovation and business.

Indy is a cool city because it is a small city which quickly gives way to the openness of the rest of the state. Packed with drag strips and dirt tracks along with tons of dirt ovals, Indiana residents are about the only ones who cheer when a facility is being built near them. They also love their hot rods and muscle cars as you are going to see here.

The 2017 Indianapolis World of Wheels was a great show that got lots of rodders out of the snow and cold and into a warm building with lots of their friends and fellow gearheads. As you’d expect there’s plenty of racing machinery to see at this show along with the expected coolness.

Rather than run on at the mouth, here’s the first of two installment from the event!
