Gallery: A Look At The LeMay Museum By Nate McGrew – Funny Cars, T-Buckets, And More!

(Photos by Nate McGrew) – Tacoma Washington’s LeMay Museum is one of the places we have long had on our bucket list to visit. The place is legendary for the stuff they have inside and Nate McGrew’s photos prove that all the stories we have heard are true. From the Chi-Town Hustler to American classics from the brass era of car building and more, the museum really is a gearhead’s delight.

You’ll see some mind blowingly cool stuff in this gallery like the famous Smokey Yunick built pod car that ran the Indy 500 back in the day, the awesome STP turbine car, and a ton of American classics from all the different eras of car building in this country. Nate sent us a highlight reel of about 60 photos from the museum that include lots of cool detail shots and some complete cars that you’ll really like. One of our favorite photos shows the cavernous interior of the museum where the cars are set up where visitors can get a clear look at them from all sides. It isn’t a stuffy museum where everything is jammed in and you can only get within 15-feet of the cool stuff. This is a truly neat place!

Thanks to Nate McGrew Photography for sharing these photos from the LeMay Museum with us!
