As we continue to take you through the simply incredible volume and diversity of the vintage car section in Vermont’s Gates Salvage yard, a couple things may be worth noting. The first thing is that very few of the cars that are in the yard were wrecked, smashed, or otherwise physically destroyed. That means most of the stuff came in because of mechanical issues, etc. We found that to be interesting for sure. Secondly, you’ll see some oddballs in this collection of photos today. Stuff like a little blue Renault that I had never heard of and Craig was all over. How did IT get in here? Likely it was driven down from Canada and it blew up or broke in some other expensive way and the owner decided that the scrap yard was the best place for it.
The exploration and myth making around lots of these cars is the most fun. Trying to find out why they were in there, how they got there, and what year they were delivered is really fun. Rather than babble on, here’s the cars! Remember everything you see is for sale for $500.
