(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – A collection of GM muscle. Almost ALL Chevy. Not my fault. Take the discontinued Pontiac and Oldsmobile stuff out and the prospects for muscle cars gets pretty thin. We only found one Buick we could capture. I really can’t recall walking past any others and we strolled around that place for over 11 hours. Since we’ve got a pool of Chevys let’s dive in. I offer to you one of the coolest cars ever – ’62 Biscayne complete with a 409/409, T-10, heater-delete with tow tabs. Could you imagine back when it was new how hard it would be for those painfully-narrow tires to find any traction…?
We got a real kick out of the blue ’71 Monte Carlo complete with turbine wheels and louvers punched in the hood. Back to the B-bodies, I don’t usually go for ’63-’64 models, but this bright red Bel Air is one such exception though I can’t exactly figure out why. Some may still scoff, but I like a more-door Malibu. The blue ’67 here looked the part of a very cool cruiser. Load up the family and head to the local burger joint while folks riding in their featureless bubbles stare at such cool and unique styling.
Enjoy. Still a little more to go. We tried to capture as much as we could since this was the Last one
