The Goodguys Del Mar Nationals is one of our favorite events of the year. Situated within walking distance of a beautiful stretch of beach, the Del Mar Fairgrounds are some of the coolest around, and the hot rods on site are exactly what you expect from sunny Southern California. With cruising, auto cross, food, both indoor and outdoor show areas, and every type of car imaginable, we are always assured we’ll have a great time at Del Mar and this weekend is not disappointing.

Friday was a good start to the weekend, but Saturday pushed the limits of parking and cruising at the fairgrounds as record numbers of cars and spectators showed up. I’m sure the nearly perfect weather, which was in the 70’s all day and very nice and sunny, was key to having so many people on site. And after a great day on the autocross, we got to hang out with our friends from Ridetech while grabbing some dinner in nearby Solana Beach. What’s awesome about this event is the fact that this great beach community is filled with hot rods cruising around all evening, which is just as cool as being at the event itself.
