SEMA 2016: Think We’re Done Showing You SEMA Cars And Trucks? Wrong

SEMA 2016: Think We’re Done Showing You SEMA Cars And Trucks? Wrong

(Photos by Bryan McTaggart) – We’re back with more photos from the lens of Bryan McTaggart and our ragged week covering the 2016 SEMA show. Bryan did a great job and will continue to drop sweet content this week in for form of photos, new products, and the like. We worked as a good team each day making some plans/goals and then executing. I cannot speak for him but some of these photos were shot during the most fun time of the week. We got ourselves wriggled into the truck hall at night and the photos you see in the gallery below were taken “after hours”. With no people and no time restriction it gave us the ability to check some of these rigs out.

You’ll see them across the spectrum. From the insane and useless trucks with too much lift and not enough tire, to the ones that we love which has some lift, lots of tire, and a more purposeful look than the dedicated show trucks.

The Ring Brothers Cadillac is the lead photo and it was the car I almost chose for the 2016 Gran Turismo award. I picked a 1951 Ford instead that won. I am confident that the Cadillac would have won as well given the chance. The car is amazing on every level. Here’s more SEMA cars and trucks for your viewing pleasure.

From McTaggart: I enjoy shooting each and every SEMA show, but the one thing I’ve always fought with are the crowds. My go-to explanation for what it’s like to shoot at SEMA is that it’s shooting a car show in the middle of a Pantera concert: it’s loud, everybody is in the way, and just when you think you’re OK someone is going to block your view while someone else is going to run into you. The after-hours deal we got to do this year was beyond cool…after a day of tens of thousands of people teeming through the rows and halls, hearing the Convention Center nearly empty was almost eerie, and with some of the lighting shut down, the cars really seemed to pop.
