(Photos by Wes Allison) – For photographers there’s no spot more dangerous or alluring on the drag strip than the top end past the finish line. It is where the cars are rushing at you carrying speeds of 200+ mph. It is where the parachutes are deployed and it is where things can go wrong in a New York second and put everyone down there in danger. Thankfully we have access to that area and we have one of the best shooters in the business blasting away on the outside of the retaining wall. These photos are his.

From door slammers to dragsters, singles, and side by side, these are some great top end photos from Famoso Raceway at the 2017 Good Vibrations March Meet. There were no incidents at the top end yesterday which is just the way we like it. Everyone’s stuff went back into the trailer in one piece and we’re hoping for the same today!
