Our Pal Cameron Ferre Is Going Rounds In Top Fuel Debut Today In Charlotte!

Update 09/18/2016 1:57pm Eastern: After kicking ass and qualifying in the number 14 spot in the Paton Family Racing, JBS, Racepak, Ted Wiens Tire and Auto, Precision Racing Suspension, Nitrohead, Ultimate Design, Epokhe Sunglasses and Brico Industries Top Fuel Dragster, our friend Cameron Ferre is going rounds in his first ever Top Fuel start. He took out the winningest driver in Top Fuel baby! Take that Tony Schumacher!

Cameron is living the dream right now, and we hope it is the Cinderella story weekend where he and the Paton family can go all the way. There are a lot of guys that dream of racing at this level, but doing it is another thing. Great job Cameron. We know a lot of Top Fuel and Funny Car racers and can say that Cameron Ferre and Todd Paton, as well as the rest of the Paton Family Racing team, are some of the best. We’re lucky to count them as part of our BangShift fuel car family.

Keep it up!

We can’t begin to tell you how excited we are for our pal Cameron Ferre, as he is going to be making his Top Fuel debut in Charlotte this weekend. Cameron is one of the most legitimately good people we know, which is why he fits in so well with all the rest of the gang at Racepak where he works during the week. His entire team at Racepak is so proud of him, and when Cameron’s boss Tim Anderson sent us the announcement that Cameron was going to debut in Charlotte we almost lost our minds. Cameron will be driving fellow Racepak employee Todd Paton’s Top Fuel Dragster this weekend in Charlotte. A car that we love because the Paton family are just such great people and have so much fun racing together. Cameron fits right in, and thanks to the Patons and good sponsors they are going to give it a go this weekend in Charlotte. He’s got a great career going already, and people know what kind of person, talent, and representative he is, so we see big things in his future.

While this is by no means the first step, as he’s taken plenty of them getting to this point, this is certainly an important NEXT step in his career. We wish him all the best this weekend and can’t wait to see him succeed.

Cameron Ferré to Make Top Fuel Debut in Charlotte

Huntington Beach, CA, September 12, 2016 – This announcement brings back 17 years of dreams in the making for the childhood actor, Cameron Ferré. While on set filming Jack Frost in 1998, Ferré was surrounded by many well-known actors who knew acting was their career; however, Cameron looked at acting as a way to supplement his dream of one day racing a top fuel dragster.

Ferré was able to obtain his top fuel license after the second Las Vegas National event in October 2015 driving the Paton family’s dragster. The Ontario, Canada, family-based team is currently campaigning their 50th year of racing. “I cannot thank the Patons enough. The family’s history in the sport is rich, and I am just happy to be a part of their team. I have been dreaming of this opportunity since I was nine years old, and it has been one heck of a journey to get to this moment. Words cannot describe how excited I am to kick off my professional career,” said Ferré.

Ferré, 31, captured his first national championship in the Junior Drag Racing League back in 2002, competing against many of the young professionals in the sport now such as Shawn Langdon, Erica Enders, and Leah Pritchett. Determined, a young Ferré made the move into the sportsman ranks competing in super comp where he was able to pick up a national event win at the World Finals in Pomona at the end of the 2012 season.

Fast forward three years and Cameron has been getting his feet wet preparing for his top fuel debut piloting Larry Miersch’s A-fuel dragster where the team found success posting a runner-up finish at the US Nationals in 2015. “The seat time in the A-fuel dragster played a huge role in preparing me for the task at hand. Miersch’s car is an ex Kalitta top fuel car, so all of the levers and procedures are pretty identical,” Ferré adds.

While working his way through the ranks and driving just about anything offered his way, Ferré has had many long-time sponsor supporters alongside his family, and without them none of this would be possible.

Backing Ferré in his debut this weekend will be: JBS Ltd., Racepak, Ted Wiens Tire and Auto, Precision Racing Suspension, Nitrohead, Ultimate Design, Epokhe Sunglasses and Brico Industries.
