(Photos by Sean Smyth) – While Chad was up on the scaffolding in Cordova, Illinois during the ADRL Spring Drags last weekend, BangShift contributing photographer Sean Smyth was at ground level blasting away with his still camera. He captured some great images before coming down with something and having to leave the track in a hurry. Look, the same thing happened to me the first time I met Chad, too. Don’t feel bad Sean, it is a natural reaction.
Anyway, the bombastic doorslammer stars of the ADRL tour put on one hell of a show and you couldn’t swing a dead cat around the pits in Cordova without having it his a three second blown, nitrous injected, or turbocharged ‘slammer waiting for battle. As you’ll see in Smyth’s gallery there were plenty of thrills and spills with more than a couple race cars picking up a wall stripe from Cordova. Hell, even Arnie Beswick wadded up his stuff on the wall at Cordova last weekend! The ADRL tour is nuts!
