With over $100,000 in payouts the Redemption 6.0 No Prep Series kicked off at its new and larger venue, Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park, for the tracks first ever no prep race which opened to great fanfare. What an event it was! Redemption 6.0 creator and promoter Shannon Morgan, of Texas based Morgan and Son Racing Engines fame, couldn’t have asked for a better turnout of racers and fans. The Chamber of Commerce weather for late November didn’t hurt either. The stands were packed on Saturday keeping no prep race fans glued to their seats in anticipation of the racing that ensued. Tons of the big names in the sport of no prep showed up to compete for a share of the big money payout, including several of the 405’s best Street Outlaws, and a couple other big names from the show. Those in attendance witnessed several breathtaking wheel stands and amazing out of shape passes that have become trademarks of the no prep scene. Daddy Dave, Dominator, Kye Kelley, Kamikaze, and more were on hand to kick ass and take names. Or at least that was the plan. But as is typical in no prep racing, you never know who is going to come out on top.
So that’s the way it went down at the first ever no prep event at Tulsa Raceway Park. And with the success Redemption 6.0 earned one can bet the farm it’s not the last time this type of all out four wheeled slug fest will go down at a legendary track that’s been hosting epic ultra fast paced memories for over fifty years.
