Ever just search Craigslist and eBay for cars or trucks that cost $1000? Well if not, we’re sorry for suggesting it. It’s amazing what you can find for a cool grand, and this tubbed RX7 is one cool find that we think is a pretty cool $1000 tubbed project. Tubbed, caged, tinwork, and fab work at least close to done. We can imagine a turbo LS under the hood and 10.5’s out back. Think about how cool a little RX7 would look with that much tire under it.

From the photos, which we’ll admit aren’t epic, it appears to have a pretty good cage or at least a good start on it. Underneath is a full 4 link ready back half setup, and the front end has a Mustang II style setup installed. Get a 4 link kit from Chassisworks, their front control arm kit, along with one of their fully outfitted Fab 9 rearends, and this sucker is an engine, trans, and some wiring away from getting really fun.
