This Ford GT Ran 293.60 MPH At The Texas Mile!

293.60 MPH is fast as hell no matter where you are, but in a standing mile?!? Holy crap, this sucker was hauling ass. And thanks to great video by the team we have not only a cool video about the car and its epic run, but also in car video showing just how UNIMPRESSIVE 293.60 mph can look. From inside the car it is like a Sunday drive. We’re sure, absolutely sure in fact, that it is way more impressive while actually driving the car, but this in car footage is nuts because until the car is going relatively slow nothing exciting happens.

Of course, when it is going slow and pulling off track the thing spins out for no apparent reason which is entertaining. We’re sure something went down with the chutes or the brakes, but all is well as he wasn’t going very fast.

293.60 in the standing mile. Wow…

With well over 2000 horsepower at the tires, thanks to a seriously built Ford Mod Motor with twin Precision Turbos and some other cool parts from Accufab, we’re sure it is a riot to drive. We have to imagine that Accufab’s owner and head honcho John Mihovetz has had his hand on this one. Also note that the in car video shows there is a Texas State Registration sticker in the window. We dig that.
