Bruder Brothers Reveal New Radial Car – Monster Blown Combo Blasts Through Rules Loophole

(Video: TheRacingVids YouTube Channel) – If there’s one thing that the radial world might not have seen coming, this car is it. The Bruder Brothers have been quietly working on their Mustang while helping other racers with their respective programs. No one really knew what they were up to and they weren’t exactly singing it from the hills. As it turns out the guys have had their entire car reworked and the new engine is a Chuck Ford 8-71 blown, Pro 275/x275 looking machine that has the potential to absolutely vaporize the existing performance standards of those classes. How? This thing can cross the scales at 2,700lbs in X275 and it can cross the scales at 2,725 in Pro 275. The guys have tested the car at Darlington Dragway recently in preparation for this weekend’s Lights Out 8 event at SGMP.

The blue Mustang is the same car outwardly but there were changes made to the location of the engine and once that changed, all of the other necessary chassis adjustments were made to match. Perhaps the coolest part of the whole program is the fact that the engine uses EFI to deliver the fuel. Billet Atomizer injectors firehose the alcohol into the motor with directions being provided by a Fuel Tech FT600 computer.

While it seems premature to be making such a big deal out of this car and it likely would be if the thing was owned by anyone BUT the Bruder Brothers who have proven themselves to be the cream of the crop time and time again. These guys would not be showing up with this car if they did not KNOW it was right.

This is going to be fun to watch but it may be bad news for everyone else.
