Classic Footage Of “Diesel Louie” Kenworth Wheelstander At Work!

We love wheel standers. We love big rigs. Wheelstanding big rig? Don’t worry, we will have someone check on Lohnes to make sure he is alright. What you’re looking at is “Diesel” Louie Force’s shorty 1953 Kenworth wheel stander doing it’s thing. Louie Force is the older brother of John Force, and apparently “batshit crazy on the track” is a family trait that the entire Force family shares. While John was busy trying to haul it down the strip in one piece, Louie was better known for showing off all the way down the 1320 while standing the truck on the tail like a boss.

The Kenworth is driven by a Rodeck-headed big-block Chevrolet mill and it’s torque number must’ve been deep in the four-digit range, because it’s absolutely nothing for that truck to bunny-hop at the line. John and Louie have always been very tight, so it’s likely that a lot of parts and ideas made their way onto the Kenworth. Only a talented few can do what Force does in this video, and each and every one of them is awesome to behold, both in person and in great footage like the clip below. Press play and hang on!
