The thing seems stock and runs like it’s hair is on fire) The good news for Ford fans is that this Crown Vic looks perfectly stock from the outside and then once the hammer is dropped, it runs like stink on fire. The bad news for Ford fans is that the reason this thing is so fast is because it is powered by a turbocharged 5.3L GM LS engine. In this video we see it at work, laying down ETs at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This guy really took the deal all the way, even using the number P71 on his window, which is the option code for the Police Package car he is driving. The best news for Ford and this guy is that the car was NOT stock because if it was, high speed chases would erupt on the highways and byways of America. It would be damned bad.

I would hardly call it that. You sneak up on another car like that, and before the money changes hands at the end of the race, you might find yourself in an ambulance or worse. If it’s two cars that are a tenth apart, that’s one thing. But you let some big talker with a 10 second car get beat in a hard way, and it could get very ugly. In today’s world, a sleeper will get you in a lot of trouble when money is on the line.

His reaction time for the Christmas tree was pretty awful, he lost nearly a half second there but then made up for it by briefly spinning the planet backwards.
Reaction time don’t mean shit unless you are bracket racing. You can sit at that line all you want and still run a 9 second time.
I’d dearly, dearly love to put a worked 5.3 into a P71.
