(Words and photos by Brad Klaassen) – So, what’s a drag starved gear head to do when it’s still winter time? Well, as most of you know Oklahoma weather has had multiple personality issues both good and bad forever, (tornadoes, wild fires, and yes now earthquakes too). But, on Saturday February 22nd Mother Nature was having an exceptionally good day with 72 degrees of sunny bliss that made us itching to shoot some drag racing action and that’s just what happened.

With the 56th Annual March Meet at Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, CA, right around the corner this shooter needed to knock off some cobwebs and rifle off some shots. Well, the guys and gals racing at Thunder Valley Raceway Park this past Saturday didn’t disappoint. While we prefer heads up racing over the brackets, the car count at TVRP’s Racer Appreciation Bracket Race
was very good and provided some great action to shoot. Plus, our buddy Brian Barnett was also there testing his beautiful new 2013 Top Sportsman Camaro blower car. Bonus! So, check
out our shots and don’t be a hater. In typical Oklahoma fashion, snow is predicted for us again for next weekend. Yep, that sounds about right. See you at the drags. – Bad Brad
