Is It A Good Idea To Let A 7 Year Old Do A Burnout In Your Hot Rod? This Aussie Guy Thought So – Video

Is It A Good Idea To Let A 7 Year Old Do A Burnout In Your Hot Rod? This Aussie Guy Thought So – Video

We should mention that the burnout is also of the indoor variety, to boot. We wouldn’t want to leave out that important detail but we’re pretty sure that it won’t overshadow the fact that the person driving the actual car is a seven year old girl, or at least that is what the video wants us to believe. Clearly made in Australia because (a) there is a ‘Ute and (b) because said ‘Ute is right hand drive, this is one of the more off the wall things we have seen. We’re sure that most of us probably steered some sort of vehicle from their dad’s lap while growing up but laying on the throttle with a line loc on wasn’t really part of our program. That means we were either deprived or we had parents who just didn’t think that was the greatest of ideas. Nothing goes wrong here and the burnout is a rev limiter banging legitimate smoke show. We have no idea whether the car is equipped with redundant pedals like a driver’s ed car is or not but we do know that if something went wrong, it would have been bad news for everyone involved.

In order to one up this video I may go get some footage of my eight year old son Tom clipping apexes on highway on-ramps this morning. I’ll just let him handle it. The danger factor of being in the car is too high for me. We’re kidding of course but we definitely want your opinion on this one. Cool, dumb, just plain stupid, or a great way to set the hook in a young gearhead? We bet reactions are all over the map. Fire away in the comments below!

ah, its cool…what could possibly go wrong? Seriously tho many Aussie kids had paddock bashers growing up. I was a bit older but had a 54 Plymouth when I was 12 (with a Desoto front clip too) – used to drive it to school occasionally….no exhaust at all, it was a real laugh.
