It looks like a wasp with the radical extended rear, it sounds like a wasp as it stages, and when it launches…well, it flies, alright. The racer is Joey Gladstone, the bike is a Suzuki Hayabusa, and without the aid of a wheelie bar, the combination of the two is good for 6.56@217MPH. And it sounds bona-fide evil going down the strip, with the turbo spooled up and the exhaust firing off a report with every upshift. This is upper-level Drag Week territory on two wheels with nothing but a layer of leather, kevlar and a helmet to save your ass if something happens, and Gladstone is one of the best out there currently in the International Drag Bike League, having two championships to his name.
