(Photo credit: Steve Baur/Fastest Street Car Magazine) – In news that the drag racing world did not see coming on Tuesday, Keith Berry has announced that his entire racing operation is for sale. We’re talking the ENTIRE racing operation from the car, the RV, the stacker trailer, right on down to the fire suit and helmet. Berry announced his decision to sell the car on Facebook and included the below shown screen shot. It is important to note that at the time of this writing, the listing had not appeared on the Proline website yet but Berry responded to our question by saying that the listing would be on the site later today. The price for the whole shooting match? $250,000.

250k for everything. RV known as The Unit, Stacker trailer and everything in it. My tool box top drawer alone has everything in it like a tornado came though it. That drawer is priceless. Front end mold. All spare parts. There are literally tons of them. Helmet. Stand 21 fire suit. Everything.
Berry and his car have been among the biggest and most successful names in drag radial racing for years. He has been on the cover of Drag Illustrated multiple times, he has won multiple NMCA Mickey Thompson Radial Wars championships, he’s won at SGMP during the incredible races put on by Donald “Duck” Long. The car was the second machine to reach the 3-second zone on radial tires, and it has amassed some really serious history in the time it has been running at this level.
Berry’s story as a racer is pretty interesting. He had never been to a drag strip until he attended a taping of Pinks: All Out in 2008 and from that moment forward he was hooked on the sport and the Corvette which was once a street legal driver became his weapon of choice. His fanbase, known as WOOOOOO! Nation will undoubtedly be surprised to see this news this morning as many in the sport are.
The car runs a small block combination that followed a successful stint with a 454 LSx style engine that Berry ran for years. The Proline tuned small block that the car runs now is an interesting piece that has proven itself on the biggest stages this part of the sport has to offer.
The big question now is who ends up with the car and all the stuff! We’ll update this story as we learn more.

God I wish I had the money! Can I please end up with a winning lotto ticket? Id own it the very next day. There have been rumors for a while now that he will be joining forces with the other Keith of radial racing. The wall king, Keith Haney. It’d be cool to see if that played out, but why would he be selling all his personal stuff. Definitely an interesting deal.
We’ve all been there. Thought about selling it all…uttered the threat that we’re done with cars “for good this time”. Usually after something broke or just didn’t go right. This is a successful operation though. Racing ‘aint cheap so maybe that’s the motive; hemorrhage the bleeding if you will. Someone is getting a heck of a deal that’s for certain. Hope he doesn’t leave racing. The knowledge accumulated is a hellofalot more valuable than his asking price. The guy is flatout good.
