(Photos by Zane McNary) – As many of you know, Chad and I are currently in Indianapolis for the 2015 Performance Racing Industry show and that means we’re surrounded by racers and race cars. That’s a good thing because we love hanging out with racers of all strips, but especially the LSR crowd. These are the most interesting and freely thinking people in motorsports and you can tell that by the range of vehicles that the compete in. From motorcycles to streamliners and more, this is the type of stuff that makes the hairs on the back of our necks stand up.

In this collection of Zane McNary photos from the 2015 SCTA season finale at El Mirage, you are going to see a gamut of equipment and all of it is bad fast. Land Speed racers spend the majority of their time battling physics, not the proverbial “guy in the other lane” so that’s why the freedom and creativity exist in such quantity. If you want to do something you can, even if no one has ever done it before.
