NHRA Expands SAM Tech Factory Stock Showdown To Five Races For 2017

Great news for fans of the NHRA’s awesome and popular Factory Stock Showdown in 2017. The series will hit some different races and it will expand from four to five races during the 2017 NHRA campaign. From Gainesville to the Four Wide Nationals, Indy, St. Louis, and Norwalk, the heads up factory drag machine action will be hot and heavy. The manufacturers love this class and these events. The fans do as well. It is always extremely fun to get on the microphone as these guys and girls are preparing to run their stuff.

Killer lights, wheelies, and elapsed times that just keep getting quicker and quicker keep people entertained. Oh, there’s also the fact that these are REAL CARS that people can recognize and root for. We’re loving the fact that the cars will be hitting some different tracks in 2017 and that more fans will get to see this show.

Open to FS/X and FS/XX stock eliminator cars, the quickest eight out of those two classes are pulled out after qualifying and then do battle in a three round eliminator. The crew at the School of Automotive Machinists and Technology are the primary sponsor of the class and drag racing fans owe them a debt of gratitude for their support of one of drag racing’s true gems.

NHRA would be smart to expand the Pro Mod, Top Sportsman, and Factory stockers classes. ( they aren’t)

    The fans love these cars!

No problem with car counts in these classes

Give the fans what they want
