PSCA Street Car Super Nationals Anarchy Under The Arch – Thursday Action And Pit Photos!

PSCA Street Car Super Nationals Anarchy Under The Arch – Thursday Action And Pit Photos!

(Photos by Bryan McTaggart) – Things to know from the first day at the PSCA Street Car Super Nationals “Anarchy Under The Arch” event are numerous. The first is that the ambient temperature at Gateway was 104-degrees. The second is that the start of racing was delayed about an hour to allow the temps to come down which was a brilliant move by PSCA officials because although the racing went deep into the evening the conditions were conducive to big runs. How big? Just the quickest and fastest run in the history of drag racing for a fully sprung, production bodied automobile. Frankie “The Madman” Taylor streaked down the Gateway quarter mile in 5.55 seconds at over 260mph on his best run, laying waste to the previous 5.644 second “record” established at the PSCA Street Car Super Nationals in Las Vegas last year.

Despite the molten conditions our Bryan McTaggart was there shooting photos of the action and all of the doings in the pits as teams from around the country showed up and got setup yesterday. We’ll be live from the event all weekend and our broadcast starts again at 5pm CENTRAL time on Friday. We’ll once again be live as long as there is racing happening and we’re sure that the huge numbers aren’t done yet!
