(Photos by Joe Grippo) – Joe Grippo has been on fire this spring, traveling all over the place and hitting more events than we have hit ourselves this year. From his trip down to the Carolinas and all the cool stuff we showed you from it to this latest blast of photos bringing us the scene from the now annual FE Race and Reunion event at Beaver Springs Dragway in Pennsylvania.

As the title suggests, this is a celebration of all things FE and it drew names like Hubert Platt and Dick Brannan out to meet the fans and show off their stuff. The racing was great and we have several galleries worth of photos to share with you from this event so you’ll be getting FE fever really soon if you don’t already have it from cruising this gallery. The race is supported by people like Barry Rabotnik’s Survival Motorsports and Carl’s Ford Parts. Their support allows for a modest purse and helps in every other way that sponsor dollars do as well. With a car show along with a couple of specialty races throughout the weekend, the FE Race and Reunion is one that you can’t afford to miss if you are a true fan of the cars of the era and the FE family of engines.

From historic cars like Platt’s Mustang below to wild gasser-ish creations, and the pristine restored originals in the car show, there was tons to see and do. Grippo seems to have done it all! Check out his handiwork by clicking the link below.

The Beaver is an awesome grass roots track. If you’re ever in central Pennsylvania on a Friday summer night go there and enjoy some great street-car racing.
