Racing With Dad: Here’s A Spectacular Story From The NMCA Finals And Why We Love This Sport

There’s always something cool about going racing with your family. Speaking from the father and son perspective some of the most fun weekends I have ever spent in the sport of drag racing were the ones that I went racing with my own dad and Chad can say the same thing. This story hit us straight between the eyes because of that fact. Summit Racing Equipment’s Matt Griswold did just that last weekend at the NMCA World Street Finals at Summit Motorsports Racing Motorsports Park.

Steve Griswold is Matt’s dad and while they have had a physical separation of hundreds of miles for the majority of their lives, their love of cars and their relationship has persevered leading up to this great weekend at Norwalk. Steve has a pretty gnarly supercharged Corvette that runs high eights/low nines and he was competing in the LME Street Kings category at the event. The story below takes this story into great detail and does a fine job of defining what it means to spend a weekend racing with your dad, win lose or draw the memories are what it is all about and these boys made a whole bunch. Read the story at the link below, it is fantastic.
