This video has plenty of stuff you are used to seeing. Larry Larson in the driver’s seat, those familiar Lenco levers coming through the floor, and a jungle gym of tubing behind his head. There is one drastic departure though and that is the fact that he’s got a passenger! The precious cargo in the passenger seat on this run is none other than Sherry Larson, Larry’s wife. Sherry is one of the kindest, nicest, most warm-hearted people would will ever meet who obviously has terrible taste in mates but we’re not holding that against her. (Just kidding, Larry!)

For as many miles as she has cruised with Larry in this car she had never made a run with him up until this point and she got a good one. No, the did not set a low elapsed time of the universe, but what they did do was shake the tires, get a little sideways, and then experience what the parachutes feel like when they hit after Larry powered a wee bit past the eighth mile finish line.

The real fun is at the end of the video with Sherry taking off her safety gear, getting herself out of the car and then riding back to the pits with her husband. Simple things maybe but we’re sure that this moment meant a lot to both Larry and Sherry.

The best part? She had a blast!
