(Photos by David Whealon) – The world of big money bracket racing is booming again and one of the reasons is because of two guys. Kyle Seipel and Peter Biondo have truly captured lightning in a bottle with there (now) series of “Spring Fling” big dollar bracket races. Designed to cater to the racers who expect more than a pat on the ass after paying their entry fee, there are specialty prizes, lots of opportunity to make money, and a genuine appreciation of what sportsman racers are looking for in an event.

Our man David Whealon was on the grounds of the awesome GALOT Motorsports Park to shoot the photos you will see here below. With hundreds of thousands of dollars of potential earnings and winnings on the line over the course of the event, this race and the other Spring Fling contests bring out the best of the best.

While this form of drag racing may not be a spectator sport to the uninitiated fan, those of us that know the sport absolutely know how kick ass it is to watch this stuff. There’s nothing like seeing two experienced racers work each other over on their way down the track.
