(Photos by Johnny Gaudette) – There are lots of “drag strip reunion” events that happen across the country now and that’s cool with us. These events are a great way to honor the history of the tracks that helped build the sport and often attract the coolest cars around and stuff that has not seen the light of day in years. One such event is the Orange Drag Strip Reunion that is held at a small airfield in Fitchburg, Massachusetts each summer. Our own Johnny Gaudette was on the scene!
The event has both a drag racing element and a car show element for those not interested in hammering their stuff on the 300′ strip set up to run down the airfield. It is a no frills, grassroots, homey event that we have some personal experience with. Johnny confirmed with us that the event was super cool and that he had a fantastic time. Next year, this is one we have to hit!
