This Beautiful 1969 Dodge Super Bee Looks Like A Restored Stocker – It Is NOT

This is pretty close to our perfect definition of a resto-modded car. As much as I hate that term and its overuse it does do a damned good job of describing this complete beast in baby wolf’s clothing. Not that a stock 1969 Super Bee is not a bad ass car or cool in every way but one that looks stock but has a ProCharger, a five speed stick, and some nice front seats is exponentially cooler. Lots of times the “resto-mod” term gets hung on a car that is more of a street machine than an actual restoration. This one is 100% exterior stock right down to the tires and wheels!

The supercharged 383 is likely making some good snot with the ProCharger D1SC blower on it and for that reason we’d probably see how creative we could get with the amount of rubber that would fit in the rear wheel well. The stock rubber maintains the cruiser look but would be annihilated within 15 minutes of us owning the car. We’re betting that this thing can probably break those white letter roller free at highway speeds with the right gear change and aggressive throttle action. What do you think?

On the inside of the car we love the fact that the entire factory interior was retained aside from the addition of some nice bolstered high back bucket seats. These modernize the look and they provide a hugely better driving experience over the stock low backs. Again, if you are going for a cruiser those are fine but this thing is more than that.

We may hate the term “resto-mod” but we’re not sure what else to call this killer Dodge!

Raced one identical to this in my friends yellow roadrunner in 1967/68 . Phx. AZ off a street intersecting Central Ave. He pulled us by a car or two, I think he was sandbacking? ie he had more than showing !
