This Video Of A V8 Powered Golf Cart Makes Us Really Want A V8 Powered Golf Cart

Let’s be honest here, V8 swaps make everything better. From the biggest of barges to the littlest of Golf Carts, adding a small block bullet under the hood of your slow car is the way to go. We have seen hundreds, maybe thousands of cars and trucks on this site with engine swaps but none of them have had the power to weight ratio this one has. Basically, this is the first time we have ever shown video of a typical golf car that has been re-powered with a small block Ford engine backed with a three speed manual transmission. Cammed up and open piped, this little small block sound bad arse at idle and really gets down to work with the driver decides to do a burnout.

Apparently there is a three speed manual transmission along with some sort of variable drive system. We’re not too concerned about how it works but just that it actually does work and this video is tire-frying proof of that. The golf cart was built by high school kids who competed the project with help from their instructor and we’re thankful that they did because every guy involved on that thing is going to be a hot rodder for life. No doubt about that.

Some may see this project as a senseless waste of time and those people are idiots. This cart is one mean little piece and now we really want to own one or at least one to rent for a few hours.
