Watch This 1955 Chevy Pull A Massive Wheelie, Pogo Stick Down The Track And STILL Manage A 9.12 ET!

There are some guys who literally do no know how to lift their foot off the gas. We’ve seen that work in both directions. There’s direction (a) like this video where the guy comes out looking like a hero and simply wills the car to do what he wants despite the fact that it is trying to basically kill him and then there’s direction (b) which normally concludes with smoke, fire, sparks, and sadness. The driver of this 1955 Chevy went on the ride of his life on this run and still managed to stick the car down in the sub-10 second zone (quarter mile). We’re pretty sure that he had to take something like Dramamine or some other motion sickness product because there’s no way he got out of that car without feeling the effects of the bouncing it did all the way down the track. Yowza!

You will see the run from two angles and both show you that the car was really not even settled as it headed across the top end stripe. While it was not bouncing all the way back up in the air, the car was still loading and unloading the front suspension a TON in a place on the track where that should not be happening. Obviously the dude in the shoebox has good front end components under the car because if he had skimped on those, the whole works would have failed at some point in the run.

This video is exceptionally good on the fun scale but not so much on the chassis tuning scale. It always strikes us as a lot more fun to be seeing these runs from the outside of the car as opposed to being the meat in the seat….but that’s just us. Watch THIS!
