2015 Goodguys Lone Star Nationals Autocross Action! See The RideTech 48-Hour Corvette In Action!

2015 Goodguys Lone Star Nationals Autocross Action! See The RideTech 48-Hour Corvette In Action!

(Photos by Jason Brady/RideTech) – The skies may have been gray but the action between the cones at the 2015 Goodguys Lone Star Nationals autocross was red hot. Headlined by the awesome and freshly built Goodguys 48-Hour Corvette, this event had some of the hardest core handlers in the country battling it out for glory. As we all know, the Goodguys autocross series has grown into a place where both manufacturers and talented drivers gather to compete and vie for a spot in the vaunted Duel In The Desert final event which happens in Arizona each fall. Lots of the cars and trucks you’ll see in these photos will be battling at locations all across the country for a spot in that event which has become more and more prestigious over the years as the series has grown.

We know for a fact that the RideTech 48-Hour Corvette was a huge hit with the fans and how could it not be? With screaming Lingenfelter LS power under the hood, a retina melting yellow wrap on the outside and the always entertaining Chris “Smitty” Smith behind the wheel, it is a car that puts on a show standing still, let alone changing directions like a ninja between the cones.

We have two loads of action photos featuring the coolest cars at the autocross and this is the first. Enjoy!

Great to see pics of the RideTech ‘Vette under power. Was an official explanation ever offered as to why it didn’t fire within 48 hours? Sorry Chad, but I think chrome or at least yellow on the bumpers would be better than the mis-matched spray bomb black look…

I gotta believe there is a bunch of folks awaiting Chad’s recap and critique of the 48 Hour project.

      ‘Hope it happens.
