Autocross Photos: Sideways, Cone Slinging Action From The Route 66 Rendezvous

Southern California is becoming a hotbed of Autocross and Pro Touring action, and this past weekend was no exception. During the 23rd Annual Route 66 Rendezvous cruise and car show in San Bernardino, where cool cruisers, hot rods, and muscle cars converged at the San Manuel Stadium, show goers were also exposed to some of the hottest cars on the west coast tearing up the cone lined autocross course. Thankfully Laura McKernan, the newest member of the BangShift Contributor family, was on hand shooting photos that she was gracious enough to share. She got lots of great action shots, and a some of the show cars as well.

The crew from No Limit Engineering handled course setup duties, along with Marcel and the guys from Black Ink Media, and took a shot at their guess for what the Goodguys Shootout Autocross course will look like in Scottsdale next month. The Route 66 show was the last event before going to Scottsdale in search of fame, glory, and $10k, so anyone who thought they had a shot was out this weekend. Rob MacGregor and Dannie Pinard, along with Bill Speed and the rest of the gang, battled it out for the top time on Saturday. Rob MacGregor took overall fast time, and the Truck Class win, while BangShifter Dannie Pinard took Second overall on his way to a win in the Late Model Class. Congrats to all!

Big thanks to Laura McKernan for the photos!
