When we saw this steering wheel from Bravatec at the 2015 PRI Show we stopped and looked at each like WTF. I mean for Christ’s sake who needs that many buttons? And then we realized it was Bluetooth operated. Wait…What?! Yeah, this one is setup just to show what is possible as they are fully customizable to run virtually ANYTHING you can operate with a button. Turning on an off normal systems and components? Check. Shifting? Check. Formula 1 DRS? Check. And all done wirelessly.

That means no cable running from the wheel to the column, and no chance for those cables to wear or become tangled and stop working. Sure there are concerns with stuff operating wirelessly, but we were assured that this sucker has been tested and tested and works so unbelievable accurate and reliably that even they were surprised.

It’s so new and bad ass it isn’t even on the Bravatec website yet, but keep your eyes pealed cause this is a sign of what is to come.

But now to the fun part of this whole deal. The look on Brian’s face. He looked at this thing like it was instructions on how to tie shoes in Chinese. I wasn’t sure if he was more excited by the pretty colors of the buttons or more scared because there were so many of them. And then he mumbled something about a tractor. God help us all.

After taking the free tab of brown acid given away with every steering wheel, Ed was over joyed to be crowned 2016 F1 world champion…

I would love some easy to hide/mount buttons that were wireless to run the line lock, 2 step, nitrous etc. in my falcon.
