Buy This Mild Pro Touring 1973 RS Camaro Build That’s Being Done By Wheeler Dealers!

Mike and Edd are two of our favorite guys on TV. We love them. They make us laugh, do cool cars, and are serious gearheads even though they are on TV. They also happen to be as genuine as can be and graced us with their presence during one of our BangShift LIVE sessions at the SEMA Show. Up for sale right now is one of the cars they are in the middle of building for the show. It’s a 1973 RS Camaro that they’ve done a mild Pro Touring makeover on and we think the price is pretty right. At $39,900 this rust free, never been out of California, original family owned, one repaint Camaro is a pretty good deal that we know some of you midwest guys will most certainly be interested in.

It features a brand new 440 horsepower 383 stroker, TCI TH350 Trans, and a built 8.5 inch 10 bolt. Full suspension, brakes, wheels and tires are all new, along with a quick steering box. Sounds like a fun ride to us, and we’ll even offer to deliver it! If someone buys this car, and pays for gas, we’ll go pick it up here in Huntington Beach and drive it to you wherever you are in the country. Seriously! Hell we’ll meet you at an event and you can run it and have fun with it before heading home.

What do you say?

1973 Chevy Camaro RS Pro Touring- 6

Here is what the Wheeler Dealers crew has to say about it:

Offered here is a rare opportunity to own a piece of TV history. This 1973 Chevy Camaro Rally Sport will have a full episode devoted to it in the upcoming season of the popular automotive TV show Wheeler Dealers on the Velocity Channel!

Our full Pro Touring build started with a one-family owned 1973 Camaro Rally Sport … an original split-bumper car, NOT a clone. Passed from original owner to his son, this car amazingly has only 84,000 original miles. It has been garage kept, and has been repainted only once in its lifetime in the original Medium Red color. The flawless black interior is mostly original, with updated seat covers, carpet and headliner. The original owner never took the car out of CA, it has never been damaged in any type of accident and it was serviced religiously at a local dealership for most of its life. Another interesting fact is that the car’s owners were immediate family to a very famous auto racing legend. Cars like this today are truly a rare find.

Mike and Edd have stepped into the modern era of Hot Rodding and turned this Camaro into a full-tilt Pro Touring machine. It features a 383-stroker crate motor putting down 441HP and 450ft/lbs of torque, TCI TH350 trans with B&M 2400 stall converter, and the 8.5″ 10-bolt rear end has been updated with an Auburn limited-slip carrier and Richmond 3.73 gears. There are many parts in this build, and just some of other features include an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans and the factory AC re-installed.

Underneath, it features tubular A-arms and adjustable coil-over shocks with a 1-1/8″ front sway bar. In the rear, 2″ drop leafs with a 1″ sway bar. Everything is tied together with new solid subframe mounts weld-in subframe connectors, and it also features a new “500” quick-ratio steering box and all new steering components. Brakes have upgraded to 4-wheel disc that are slotted and cross-drilled and an adjustable proportioning valve. All this rides on US Mags Rambler U111 wheels (17×7 and 17×8) with 245/45 and 275/50 tires.

We have also added the small one-piece rear spoiler and front chin spoiler, along with black Z-28 stripes. On the interior, a B&M Quiksliver console mounted shifter and billet half-wrap steering wheel.

All parts listed will be brand new with break-in miles only when the project is completed. The car is scheduled for completion in the next week, and delivery to the new owner will be coordinated around filming requirements. Serious interested buyers should contact me for more info on the car and the sale process. The car is located in Huntington Beach, CA

  1. Rock On

Would really like to see a photo of the front end. Does the car have the proper round parking lights inside the grille or the rectangular ones under the bumper?
