Craigslist Find: A 1968 Lola T-160 Can Am Racer That We Want To Own

Craigslist Find: A 1968 Lola T-160 Can Am Racer That We Want To Own

When my buddy Dannie Pinard sent me this Craigslist item, he also sent it with some note about being a TV star now and that I should be able to buy this thing. I WISH!!! This 1968 Lola T-160 is amazing, and we’d love to park it in our garage. We happen to have friends who have a Lola like this, and some of the coolness underneath the skin, and under the “hood” makes these some of the most iconic race cars of the muscle car era. We especially love the original Lucas mechanical fuel injection, on top of a Big Block Chevrolet. What we have always loved about Lolas is the fact that despite being built in England, they have Big Block Chevrolets in them. That just rules.

This particular Lola T-160 has been fully restored, is an original 1968 Lola T-160, and has only 5 races on it since the restoration. With killer parts in the 468 cubic inch Big Block, we’re pretty sure it hauls ass, and all the details listed in the ad mean it is worth some serious coin. According to the seller, that means $225,000 which is only two zeros more than this guy right here has to spend. But I really wish it wasn’t, because this is a car I would love to thrash on at Laguna Seca, where Can Am was king back in the day. Or LeMans! Or…

Please tell us that there is some BangShifter out there who can actually afford this thing! We want someone cool to buy it.

Maybe if all the ‘BangShifters’ banded together and made…say a $100 donation each, towards the purchase, we could all own it!!! We could set up a schedule as to who gets to play with it each day, then hand it off the next day to the next member in line 😀
