This is just one of three Minitrucks that we’ll be drooling over this Monday morning. We’ve decided that we’ll pick three from Craigslist, and spotlight it for one of three uses, either drag racing, autocross, or off-road. Each of them will be featured in their respective BANGshift subsites, 1320, APEX, and XL. This particular Datsun 620 is a standard cab jewel that would look awesome hauling ass around the autocross or road course. We’d call the guys at Ridetech for some suspension parts, and then flair this sucker and roll on some 18 inch Mini Lites for sure. We’d leave the body as much as we could, and in fact we’d make sure the flares were bolt on just so we wouldn’t have to ruin the patina. The wheel and tire combo would be huge, which would result in a bit of cartoon looking fun and all the gription we could ever need. If it was us, we would probably shy away from the urge to LS swap the thing, although it’s an option for sure, and we’d probably lean towards doing some late model Nissan swap just because. Maybe a wrecked 350Z could donate all it’s goodies. Seats, dash, interior parts, engine, trans, rear maybe. We’d go for all of it if we could to make the most of a wrecked car purchase. Who knows what you might be able to make work.

We’d go Rick’s Tanks on the fuel system for this one, get some of our tubing and chassis fab parts from Chassisworks, and ulitmately make sure it had a stereo from Kicker and air conditioning from Vintage Air. You got to be comfortable after all!

IT HAS STOCK ORIGINAL MOTOR. THE BODY IS STRAIGHT AND PAINT SOMEWHAT CAN BACK WHEN I WAXED IT. IT IS A 4 SPEED.
