Why Don’t More People Race These Things? This Daytona Is Awesome And A Deal!

Why Don’t More People Race These Things? This Daytona Is Awesome And A Deal!

When Factory Five came out with their Cobras and then Daytona and then the GTM, and their latest the 818, we thought you would see gobs of them racing. And we know that there are a lot of the Cobras running in their own series and such, but we haven’t seen nearly the response and participation we expected in the Pro Touring community. These cars should be fast! And because they start off using a lot of factory components, they are “reasonable” to build. With that said, this Daytona 65 that is for sale on Craigslist is a screaming deal in our opinion. I don’t think you could build this thing for this kind of money, that’s for sure. At least not one this nice.

So why don’t a lot of people show up at Goodguys or USCA events running these? Do they show up at SCCA stuff and I just don’t know it?

This one’s beautiful, so if you want to turn heads and be one of the only guys out there in one, buy this.

Yeah – this looks as much like a Daytona as my right testicle does, and I am actually staggered not to see an LS under the hood. But you get what you pay for I suppose..

Hell – if my right testicle was worth as much as a genuine Daytona – well I’d be getting out the scalpel by now!

Did mommy not give you enough love as a baby? Or did the vicar fondle you one too many times? Maybe daddy smacked you around a bit? Just trying to get to the bottom of all this bile you have built up inside…maybe you just need a hug….or a good BJ…..

As a professional builder of all things that roll..beautiful build but the dash looks like a 70`s Aztec kit car.

dig up some history on the originals (5?)
find the article(s) on the Phil Spector car – about how
rough the originals were ….the dashboard on Fac 5 should look
that way if it should look like a racer
These were a legendary group of cars with no comforts

One of our members has a Blue and white one he races with us several times a season……www.rmvr.com……Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing.

He has even taken folks for rides out on the road course at lunch. Our Chief Driving instructor ran it about a year ago and was running away from early seventies RSR Porsches. His is a destroked Cleveland to 331 and 4 downdraft 2bbl Webers. Too Cool

Asking $65K!?!?! I think he will be lucky to get half that based on what most of these sell for. The ad is lacking detail too yet he only wants serious inquiries. What constitutes a serious inquiry anyway.

Would like to build one with either a Terminator or the new GT350 engine w/6SPD.

    Now that would be fun.

Geordie, its time to up your dosage on whatever you are taking now.
