Yonkers is my hero, and it’s not because he’s fast in his cool red Corvette. It’s because he’s a real deal car guy who despite having some serious setbacks this year that required multiple engine repairs, he thrashed all night for days to make it to the Optima Search for the Ultimate Street Car events that he had planned. It sucked, because he got no sleep and was wore out, and I’m sure his wallet took a beating, but man was it cool that he made it. That’s what real car guys do, and he’s a real car guy. His Corvette is fast, and he knows how to wheel it, and you’ll see that in this video from the HUGE autocross course at the USCA Optima Search for the Ultimate Street Car event in Michigan. The course was a challenge, partly because it was so huge, and also because it offered plenty of speed that could get you into trouble in several spots.
