Stock Car Saturday! A Little Hobby Stock Dirt Track Action For Inspiration

Stock Car Saturday! A Little Hobby Stock Dirt Track Action For Inspiration

I’ve never raced on a dirt oval. I have raced on lots and lots of other surfaces, and types of racing, and have even raced on one paved oval, but never dirt oval racing like the Hobby Stock action you are going to see below. It looks like a riot. Short track racing looks fun. I grew up going to San Jose Speedway, at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, to watch Sprint Cars, Super Modifieds, and the like. My Uncle was friends with the Kaeding family who now runs World of Outlaws and everything else. Someday, hopefully fairly soon, I’ll drive a Sprint Car, but until then I’m going to be inspired by the wheel to wheel action going on Saturday nights across the country. This is awesome to watch. In road racing I’ve always been best doing the chasing, right until the end, so I’d like to be in row 2 to start and then get it on.

That Camaro that we posted earlier is looking pretty good right now. Hmmmmmm

You should do it. It’s like every other form of racing, meaning there’s really no such thing as cheap racing (if you want to win,) but it is a good time and a lot of camaraderie.
