Breaking News: Aussie Racing Cars Driver Damien Flack Involved In A Race-Stopping Accident At Mount Panorama – Second Big Accident This Week On The Circuit

Damien Flack was involved in an absolutely horrifying crash at Mount Panorama. While running in the Aussie Racing Cars league (a support racing series for V8 Supercars), Flack got tapped by teammate and brother Adrian Flack as they were driving down Conrod Straight, the race car (which we are still unable to properly identify) got out of shape and went into a series of rolls that honestly have us cringing. Once the chassis came to rest, it briefly caught fire. Flack was knocked out for a moment, but did come to, and spoke to medical crews before being airlifted to a hospital for treatment. It is believed at press time that Flack suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung.

This is the second big accident at the Australian circuit within the last 48 hours. Chaz Mostert crashed his V8 Supercars Ford Falcon during a qualifying session in a violent accident that pinballed the Falcon from wall to wall before it struck a marshall’s tower. Mostert suffered a broken leg and wrist and one marshall suffered a chest injury, while the other four marshals walked away with only slight injuries.
