Goodguys Del Mar: Ridler Award Winners, Autocross T-Buckets, Late Model Muscle, And More

Goodguys Del Mar: Ridler Award Winners, Autocross T-Buckets, Late Model Muscle, And More

You never really know what you are going to see when you walk into the gates of a Goodguys show, especially one that is as big and long running as the decade and a half Del Mar extravaganza. This collection of photos proves it as well because you’ll see everything from the Ridler award winning Imposter to t-buckets lined up next to late model muscle cars and pro touring iron getting ready to attack the autrocross course! The fit and finish on many of the cars you will see in these photos really is mind boggling. Take this early Thunderbird below, the car looks flawless. It has a nice looking leather interior, a huffed Ford engine in the front, and paint that looks deep enough to jump into and backstroke through.

The 1934 Ford in the photo above is another looker. Hemi engine, chopped roof, tall and skinny tires, neat creamy looking greenish paint, what’s not to love there as well? Some guys turn their nose up at stuff like this because it is out of their price range or whatnot but we don’t. Why begrudge a guy (or girl) who has a spectacular car? We’re just glad they are at the show and not in some hermetically sealed bubble somewhere!
