Monster: Watch This All-Wheel-Drive, Twin Turbo V8 Audi Lay Down 900+ On The Chassis Dyno

It isn’t often that we think of an Audi as a truly romping, stomping hot rod but in this case it sure as heck is. The car you are going to see in the video below was built to compete in European hill climb events and frankly whoever is driving it better have some skills because with over 900hp at the tires, it is going to be a flipping handful when the pilot lays the skinny pedal flat on the floor. This thing sure makes some glorious noises as well. You will hear a couple of warm up pulls before the one or two full throttle, high rpm rips that the car makes.

So what’s the package here? It is a good one. The engine is a 3.65L Audi V8 with twin Garrett turbos (size not known). It has 11.5:1 compression, custom JE pistons, steel cylinder liners, Total Seal Rings, heavy duty connecting rods, CNC ported cylinder heads, a Peterson three stage dry sump setup, a fabricated intake manifold, and 18 fuel injectors as the car runs straight methanol and needs all that volume to make the big power. The transmission is a six speed dog box with a Tilton three disc clutch.

Here comes the crazy part. The whole car weighs 2,000lbs. 900hp at the tire, all wheel drive, and 2,000lbs? BANG SHIFT APPROVED!
