Goodguys listened to Bret Voelkel a number of years ago and added autocrosses to a smattering of their events across the country as a bit of a test for a larger program. Voelkel had been after them to do it for some time and they decided to give it a shot. The result has been nothing short of miraculous. At dozens of Goodguys shows across the country some of the coolest, hardest core, most capable, and best looking pro touring cars smack each other around between the cones and put on an amazing show for the fans. As you’d expect, some of the neatest pro touring cars in the country live out west where the weather is perpetually nice and the cone killing happens virtually year round so that’s why we took special interest in the autocross pits at the Goodguys Del Mar show.

This gallery is a up close and personal look at most of the awesome cars participating at the Del Mar show. Everything from boxy Chevelles to highly stylized Mustangs and some really basic street cars like the Olds wagon you’ll see and the little Mustang coupe rocking the RWL tires. It isn’t about being the fastest at these deals, it is about having the most fun and testing your skills.
