Registration Open For Eight Remaining USCA Events In 2014 – Race And Hobnob With BS Sponsors Like Lingenfelter, RideTech, and Jet Hot

Our friends over at the Optima Ultimate Street Car Association have dropped us a line, informing everyone that registration is now open for the final eight events of the 2014 USCA season at tracks like Daytona, Road America, Sebring and more. This is an awesome opportunity to get your car onto tracks that very few “regular” people get to experience from anywhere but the grandstands. You can register online and the URL is below at the end of the USCA press release at the bottom of the page and we think that you should because these events are more than just hot lapping a track. There’s a cruise portion, an autocross, the hot laps, a design and engineering element, a speed stop, and more. Chad’s at all of these events because he is serving as the host of the television show which will air this summer on MAVTV and we’ve been running race coverage from them as well.

Lastly, you’ll be in some pretty awesome company when competing because there are a bunch of great sponsors supporting the USCA and among them are BangShift supporters Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, Jet Hot, and RideTech. Those companies aren’t just slapping some decals on competitor cars and calling it good enough. Nope, that isn’t how they roll. Instead, they’re at every event racing, hanging out, providing technical support, and even driving assistance as well. Jet Hot is the sponsor that stepped up to cover the instructional program and because of them you can get a qualified racer to give you advice on what to do right, wrong, or better while you are on the track.

The inaugural season of the USCA has been rolling strong through the first couple events, learn how to join on the party train for the last eight below!

Grafton, WI (April, 2014) – The Ultimate Street Car Association has opened registration for the remaining eight events of its 2014 season. Drivers of American muscle cars, European sports cars and Japanese import cars can now sign up to put their street cars and driving skills to the test on some of the most famous road courses in the nation.  With legendary courses like Daytona, Road America, and Sebring still to come, participants will have the opportunity to experience something that most enthusiasts will only ever attempt in a video game as they participate in five driving segments across three exciting days.

Designed for real street cars, these USCA-sanctioned events allows participants of all skill levels to enjoy their weekend warriors, daily drivers, and grocery getters in a safe, friendly, organized competition. Each day, drivers are presented with new challenges as they take part in the Detroit Speed Road Rally, the Wilwood Disc Brakes Speed Stop, the Ridetech Street Challenge Autocross, the Lingenfelter Performance Design & Engineering Challenge and the BFGoodrich Hot Lap Challenge road course time trial.  As drivers compete for season points and a spot at the OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational, MAV TV will also be filming OPTIMA’s Search for the Ultimate Street Car – a television series highlighting drivers’ quests to secure a spot in the Invitational.

USCA events are not only for experienced motorists, but track novices as well.  Education and Instruction Sponsor Jet-Hot High Performance Coatings has complimentary driving instructors available at every event ready to ride shotgun to teach new drivers how to drive fast safely and coach the more experienced drivers how to be faster.  Run groups for the road course segment are also broken down by experience levels, permitting progressively more passing on track for the more experienced drivers while allowing newer drivers to simply concentrate on their driving line without having to worry about overtaking.

The first two events of the year saw participants get more seat time than any other high performance driving event around. At Laguna Seca drivers made over 1,100 laps through the “Corkscrew” across seven hours of open track time, while the Texas Motor Speedway event boasted some equally outstanding numbers in terms of total drive time with 3,354 combined laps including autocross, road course and speed stop – 2,112 of which were full road course laps. “They are getting so many hours of seat time, it’s unreal,” said Greg Weld, a volunteer at Texas Motor Speedway.

The USCA recently launched a program that rewards participants who refer a friend, giving them a 50% discount on their entry once their friend signs up. Group discounts are also available to give participants $100 off each entry when they sign up with three or more drivers. Becoming a member of the USCA has its perks too and pays for itself in just one event. For $75 per year, USCA members get a free transponder rental at any event they attend (a $50 value), an additional $25 off their registration and much more. Special Hotel rates have also been made available at host hotels, but book in advance as these deals expire a few weeks prior to each event.
