This Is The Most Insane Pass At The Goodwood Member’s Meeting – Automotive Leapfrog!

The 73rd Annual Goodwood Members’ Meeting had a pretty good show for what is basically a bunch of valuable race cars playing about, but out of all of the fun we weren’t even aware was happening at the Goodwood Circuit was this rather spirited pass. During the second flying lap of the 1964-73 1000CC F3 Derek Bell Cup, Paul Waine’s 1969 DeSanctis-Ford (red) ran up on Michael Scott’s 1969 Brabham-Ford (white), and in what no doubt will be “Pass Of The Year” in many circles, proceeded to hop straight up and over. The flight couldn’t have been better, though every chiropractor and spine surgeon within a 200-mile radius must’ve felt a disturbance in the force. The DeSanctis-Ford was forced to retire, but it’s not known if it was due to suspension damage, a damaged oil pan, or the fact that a driver and the soft orange donut seat don’t fit in an F3 car.
