When you get to do cool stuff, sharing that experience with someone always makes it better. Sharing it with one of your kids or maybe your best pal is even better. In this video we see a dad in Romania taking his little kiddo out on the drifting course strapped into a pro level drift car. The little guy is in his car seat and is belted in. The addition of the bicycle helmet is a nice touch.
While the kiddo seems to have some reservations at times, he is genuinely into what he’s doing and seeing and there’s a bunch of smiles emanating from his face between concerned glances. While there’s certainly a risk here, the guy driving is in control the whole time and the run ends with the little guy in the passenger seat seemingly disappointed that it cannot go on forever.
While I cannot say that I have ever strapped my kids into a race car and gotten after it, I can say that we have tested the launch control and accelerative abilities of some hot cars together but never anything to this level. We’re sure that there’s 1,000 things to be scared, nervous, or otherwise freaked out about here but at the end of the day this father and son did something together that will probably have a profound effect on the kid for the rest of his life.
