Watch Sabine Schmitz, On The Nurburgring Start From The Back Of A Field And Carve Here Way Through On The Course She Knows So Well

Every BangShifter worth his or her salt knows who Sabine Schmitz is. Carrying the nickname “Sabine The ‘Ring Queen” because she is one of the most versed, experienced, and knowledgeable people in the known universe regarding the famed Nurburgring race course in Germany it is no surprise that she’s fast there.

She drives the course on a near daily basis, she has competed there dozens, maybe hundreds of times, and she’s a total bad ass. Knowing those things, you won’t be surprised at how this video plays out, but it sure is worth the watch.

Long story short, Schmitz qualified for this race well but the car was nipped for a thing or two by the tech department and was forced to start at the back of the field. This would be a crushing blow for many racers but for Schmitz it was merely a flesh wound that she was able to bandage up early in the race by blasting through the field like they are all stuck in second gear. This is an in-car video so we don’t get to hear her opinions on what the most challenging part of the exercise was but she sure makes it look easy!

We have to believe that working through the slower cars at the tail end of the field was hardest because of how unpredictable and, well, slow they are. Seriously, when you are dicing with someone for the lead there’s talent and speed there. When you are trying to pass some guy who bought his seat and barely made the field, that is when weirdo stuff happens. It is really impressive to watch Schmitz’s skill level and courage on full display here. She’s bad fast and has earned every platitude ever bestowed upon her.
