Watch This Ferrari 458 Racer Survive A Crash That Would Have Killed Him 15 Years Ago – Major Violence!

Sometimes, you get away with one. And sometimes, you don’t as you French driver Sacha Bottemanne learned last weekend during a French GT Tour race at Nogaro. While racing his Ferrari 458 GT3, he pulled out of the draft to pass another 458 but things went very wrong from there.

As he passes, Bottemanne bumps the other Ferrari at a high rate of speed and essentially PIT maneuvers himself. The Ferrari spears hard right to go nose-first into a concrete barrier. The Ferrari explodes into a carbon-fiber cloud and even the windshield gets ripped clean off the car as the front end disintegrates. In a testament to the FIA”s stout crash testing of GT3 cars, Bottemanne actually climbs through the vacant windshield space just seconds after the car stops. He limps toward the barrier and collapses. A short while after the race concluded, the series reported Bottemanne was conscious but headed to the hospital to undergo a thorough examination.

Track personnel’s not exactly working at Safety-Safari-like speed there…”Oh…did someone crash?”
